Laboratory filtration hardware
SterilGuard® glass filtration canister
A reusable borosilicate glass canister assembly for suitable laboratory filtration and sterility-testing workflows.
Product overview
SterilGuard is designed as a reusable filtration canister for controlled laboratory procedures. The transparent borosilicate glass body supports visual inspection, while the polypropylene support and base and stainless-steel cap form the principal assembly. The complete setup, membrane, tubing, seals and operating procedure must be selected and qualified together.

Workflow considerations
- Reusable laboratory filtration setups
- Suitable sterility-testing procedures
- Visual inspection during controlled test workflows
- Procedures where a glass canister format is preferred
Qualification requirements
Before use, establish a written cleaning, assembly, sterilization and inspection procedure for the complete configuration. Confirm compatibility with the selected membrane and process fluids, allowable vacuum or pressure, sealing integrity, sterilization method, reuse limits and replacement criteria.
Important limitations
The canister does not by itself make a method compliant or validated. The laboratory is responsible for method suitability, contamination controls, operator training, equipment qualification and compliance with the standards or regulations applicable to its test.
